Stage 3a Chronic Kidney Disease is a moderate stage of kidney damage where the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) ranges between 45–59 ml/min. At this stage, kidneys are still working but their efficiency is reduced. Many people may not notice clear symptoms, though fatigue, mild swelling, frequent urination, or high blood pressure can occur. Early management is very important in Stage 3a CKD to slow disease progression. This includes controlling blood pressure and blood sugar, following a kidney-friendly diet, reducing salt and protein intake, staying hydrated, and avoiding nephrotoxic medicines. Regular monitoring and timely treatment can help maintain kidney function and improve quality of life.
