Various initiatives for the welfare of the backward classes and SC/ST are handled by the Welfare Department. A step toward efficient, transparent, and responsible government. To grant scholarships, ekalyan the system connects all welfare offices, the Treasury, Secondary Schools Certificate (SSC) databases, colleges, and banks. The system allows for the processing of scholarship applications, sanctioning, and passing of bills for disbursement.
