Carisoprodol 350 mg is a muscle relaxant that works by preventing pain signals from reaching the brain via the nerves. In conjunction with rest and physical therapy, carisoprodol is used to treat skeletal muscle soreness and injury. Carisoprodol should only be used for a few weeks because there is little evidence of its long-term effectiveness, and most skeletal muscle injuries are temporary (up to two or three weeks). This medicine should not be used if you have an allergy to carisoprodol or meprobamate, or if you have any of the disorders listed below. Porphyria is a form of porphyria that affects both men and women (a genetic enzyme disorder that causes symptoms affecting the skin or nervous system). Please inform your doctor if you have ever experienced any of the following.

hepatitis

failure of the kidneys

It's uncertain whether this medicine could cause harm to an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are expecting a child.

Carisoprodol can pass into breast milk and cause drowsiness in a nursing infant. Please notify your doctor if you are breastfeeding.
