Connect the machine to your computer with the USB cord or pair it via Bluetooth. Go to design. cricut.com/setup in your browser. Download and install Design Space for Desktop (help article). Follow the on-screen instructions to sign in or create your Cricut ID, and set up your new machine. Except instead of printing your design onto a sheet of paper, a Cricut machine uses a small, movable blade to cut the design out of a sheet of paper (or other material.) You can use the Cricut to make Cut or Cut & Draw with the Cricut Machine without a printer. However, you will need a printer with Cricut if you plan to use the Print then Cut feature of Cricut with the Cricut Joy or Cricut Maker machines.
