Trick-taking Euchre Online features a trump in which two teams of four players compete against each other. As in Whist, the highest card of the suit led wins the trick until someone plays an ace of trumps, which is the highest card played by any player at any time.
This game begins with any card of any suit, including trumps, being led by the player on the dealer's left. Clockwise play continues, with players following suit if they hold a card from the suit that was lead. The left bower is a part of the trump suit, not its original one.
Tricks are won by the player who has the highest card of the suit led unless a trump card is played at some point. When a trump card is played, the trick is won by the person who played the highest trump card played.. A player can't win a trick if they don't play the suit led or trumps. It's up to the winner to retrieve and turn over the cards he or she used in the previous trick.
Only after all five rounds of betting have been completed will a winner be declared. Next, the dealer to the left of last deals, and so on until one partnership reaches a total of 10 points, at which point the game is over.
