Activision Blizzard, the gaming company behind franchises such as World of Warcraft wotlk classic, World of Warcraft wotlk classic, World of Warcraft wotlk classic as well as World of Warcraft wotlk classic, has lost one of its top executives. The publisher based in California announced that its chief finance officer Spencer Neumann was notified on December 31 that his contract with Activision Blizzard was terminated.

The company decided to end Neumann's contract "for reasons that are not related to the financial reporting of the company or procedures for disclosure," Activision Blizzard said in a US Securities & Exchange Commission filing. In a press release it stated that Neumann was "terminated due to a violation of their legal obligations towards the Company."
Neumann is currently in paid leave and has been granted the chance to "demonstrate the reasons why no reason exist for him to quit his job or to explain why his termination of employment is not justified in any other way."
Activision Blizzard chief corporate officer Dennis Durkin is taking over the role of Neumann as CFO for the interim period. If Neumann be forced to leave Activision Blizzard, Durkin will take over the position of CFO, the company announced. Durkin was CFO from 2012 to 2017.
A source informed Reuters that Neumann has decided to leave Activision Blizzard to join video streaming giant Netflix. Netflix's former CFO David Wells, announced last August that he would leave this company following 14 years. The source informed Reuters that Netflix would like its new CFO to be located in Los Angeles, which Neumann is.
As per Reuters, Neumann is expected to join Netflix beginning in 2019, which means that an announcement could be on the horizon.
Neumann was the CFO of Activision Blizzard since May 2017. Before joining the firm He was promoted to the top positions within Disney before becoming chief financial officer in charge of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.
As of this article, investors do not appear to be concerned about the announcement at this time, with Activision shares rising 1.4 percent.
