A Magazine Reader's Review of Current History

I'm going to talk about one of my favorite magazines in this article. I will give a brief history of this magazine and explain why I consider it to be one of my favorites. This kind of magazine, in my opinion, is political. From an earlier piece I wrote about a political magazine, you might have guessed that I enjoy reading these kinds of publications and subscribe to many of them. CSS Current Affairs Notes
First, a brief history of this publication. The oldest publication in the United States is Current History. It focuses solely on global affairs. I don't mean to imply that Current History is political when I say so. The magazine actually focuses more on geopolitics than politics. The New York Times founded Current History in 1914. The magazine is now owned by a private company. It is published every month from September to May. The magazine was established to cover World War I, or the Great War, as it is also known. The magazine has received contributions from numerous well-known and reputable individuals; the likes of George Bernard Shaw, Winston Churchill, and John McCain, as well as more recent names like Condeleeza Rice. Current History is independent of any institution, political group, or government agency.
After providing a brief history of this storied publication, I will explain why it is one of my favorite magazines to read. Current History examines a variety of global issues every month. The magazine focuses on a different region of the world and a variety of issues that are related to that region as well as issues that are related to that region. The Middle East, Europe, Africa, China, and East Asia are all discussed in the magazine. The magazine discusses regionally relevant political and economic issues. Terrorism, nuclear weapons, and a variety of economic issues, for instance. Technology, a variety of economic trends, and economic institutions like the IMF are all covered in the articles. I like that a year in review is put together at the end of the year. The magazine wants to highlight important issues from the previous year in the year in review issue. Consistently, there are "unique" issues distributed that emphasis top to bottom on a specific theme. trends in migration, for instance, or global warming. The magazine is, in my opinion, very academic, and reading it can take some time. It's not as easy for me to read as Cosmopolitan. I also enjoy reading the book review section. You ought to check out this useful magazine if you want to learn more about the geopolitical issues of our time.
