I’ve done it many times.

Some of my reasons -

Yelled at my receptionist on the phone when making the appointment.
Refused to sign my Legal Services Agreement - written in plain, basic English — not the usual lawyer contract that many lawyers use. SaaS legal services
Attempted to re-negotiate my Legal Services Agreement. Wanted me to “guarantee” results - that is unethical in family law practice.
Only wanted to pay me if I “won” their divorce case. In Texas that is not allowed by the State Bar of Texas.
Wanted me to do something illegal.
Was on drugs, drunk or mentally ill when they showed up to my office.
Wanted to divorce his 8 month pregnant wife because she was not “fun” and brought in his new girl fiend that was fun.
Told me that he would lie on the witness stand under oath.
Refused to give me basic information (name, address, phone number, date of birth, etc.) in initial interview.
Demanded that I make an appointment immediately - I was getting ready for a trial so I told them that I was not the right lawyer for them since I could not give them 100% of my undivided time.
