Tadacip 20 mg and Viagra (generic name: sildenafil citrate) are both medications used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men, but they are not the same medication. They have different active ingredients and are manufactured by different pharmaceutical companies. Tadacip 20 contains the active ingredient tadalafil, which is also found in the brand-name medication Cialis. Tadalafil is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor that increases blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, helping men achieve and maintain erections. Viagra, on the other hand, contains the active ingredient sildenafil citrate. Like tadalafil, sildenafil is also a PDE5 inhibitor that works similarly to increase blood flow to the penis, enabling men to achieve and sustain erections. While both Tadacip 20 mg and Viagra are used to treat ED, they have some differences in their onset of action, duration of effectiveness, and other characteristics. Tadacip (tadalafil) is known for its relatively long onset of action, taking about 30 minutes to 1 hour to start working. Viagra (sildenafil), on the other hand, typically takes effect within 30 minutes. Tadalafil has a longer duration of effectiveness compared to sildenafil. The effects of Tadacip can last up to 36 hours, earning it the nickname "the weekend pill." Viagra's effects typically last around 4 to 6 hours. Tadalafil can be taken with or without food, whereas sildenafil may have reduced effectiveness if taken with a high-fat meal. Tadalafil is available in different dosages, including Tadacip 20 mg, and is often taken once a day, allowing for more spontaneous sexual activity. Viagra is typically taken as needed, before sexual activity.
