The various currencies in Diablo 4 pile up quickly and serve a multitude of different purposes. In this article, we'll explore Gold, Murmuring Obols, Red Dust, and Smoldering Ashes - all of which play a role in leveling up your character. One of the best ways to level up in Diablo is through dungeons. These offer a decent XP reward and you can also opt for higher world tiers like the Cathedral of Light capstone dungeon or the Nightmare Dungeon, which are significantly harder but yield a bigger XP bonus.

Gold

In any video game, there are a number of different currencies that players can earn and use. These currencies typically have various uses, including gambling by testing your RNG luck, purchasing items from Vendors, and upgrading equipment. Gold is one of the most common currencies in Diablo 4 and can be earned by killing enemies, completing quests, or trading with other players.

Completing quests will offer you both XP and Gold rewards, while the best way to level up quickly in diablo 4 gold find is by completing dungeons on any difficulty, though if you're looking for more of a rush you should opt for Nightmare or Torment Dungeons which will provide bigger paydays. You can also gain a significant amount of gold by participating in challenges like World Events or combat challenge Cellars.

Silver

Players can acquire silver through various activities like opening chests, killing monsters, and completing Side Quests and Events. The currency can be used to purchase equipment upgrades and items from the various vendors in town.

In addition to Gold, the game features a range of other currencies and materials that serve varying purposes. These include Murmuring Obols (used to gamble for randomized gear and Whispering Keys at the Purveyor of Curiosities), Grim Favors, Aberrant Cinders (used to open Helltide Chests), and Seed of Hatred that can be extracted from Altars in the Kehjistan and Dry Steppes regions. Selling these currencies on the Player Auction House can also be a lucrative venture. But to make the most of it, players should know which items are in high demand.

Murmuring Obols

A new in-game currency called Murmuring Obols has been added to Diablo 4. These unique coins can be used at events that take place throughout Sanctuary. They can also be traded for Whispering Keys, which open the Silent Chests that can be found around the game's map.

Defeating powerful enemies and bosses will earn players Murmuring Obols. Exploring the game world and discovering secret locations will also provide players with these coins.

Once players have accumulated enough of them, they can visit an in-game merchant called the Purveyor of Curiosities. He will allow players to gamble their Murmuring Obols for items, such as weapons. However, the type of item rewarded will be random. In addition to gambling with the Purveyor, players can increase their Obols limit by activating Altars of Lilith and completing unique Glory quests.

Red Dust

Most breakable items in Diablo 4 are worth a few gold pieces, and you can even get more from smashing barrels or hollow trees. While the loot doesn't add up to much, it all helps in the long run.

Players can also gain some of this currency from participating in PvP world events, as well as killing other players. Taking part in these activities will yield Seeds of Hatred, which can then be converted into Red Dust at an Altar of Extraction. This can then be redeemed at PvP vendor for ornamental rewards, including unique weapons, mounts, and cosmetics. Regardless of the route you take, it's important to use a build that optimizes your damage, survivability, and mobility. This will ensure you're leveling as fast as possible and unlocking the highest World Tier in no time.

Smoldering Ashes

Diablo 4's first season introduced several new systems to the game. These included Season Blessings, which offer players quality-of-life buffs that remain active through the end of the season.

Getting these season-long bonuses requires Smoldering Ashes, which can be earned by progressing in the seasonal Battle Pass or earning Favor through new side missions and even the special dungeons created for the update. Players can also purchase tier skips using gold, but these items will require players to meet certain level requirements to activate them.

This prevents players from paying for tier skips and immediately benefiting from the seasonal buffs, but it doesn't stop them from buying items that will help them level faster in the future. This includes everything from the XP boost to extra obols and gold drops.
