Modernising its fleet of aircraft is one of the main components of Cathay pacific upgrade strategy. The airline has realised that running a fleet that is environmentally conscious and fuel-efficient is critical to lowering operating expenses and its carbon footprint. In order to do this, Cathay Pacific decommissioned older, less fuel-efficient aircraft and launched a number of new ones.
