Gene sequencing, or DNA sequencing, involves determining the precise order of nucleotides—adenine (A), thymine (T), cytosine (C), and guanine (G)—in a DNA molecule. This process is foundational for understanding genetic information, enabling researchers to identify genetic changes and mutations.
