The survival horror sequel Five Nights at Freddy's, sometimes known as fnaf 2, improves upon the gameplay of its forerunner by expanding upon its mechanics and adding new features. Take a look at the game mechanics in detail:
Robots and animatronics:

Playable animatronic characters in the game include both new and familiar faces. Mangle, the Puppet, Toy Bonnie, Toy Chica, and Toy Freddy are some of the new arrivals. Players will need to adapt to new behaviors and obstacles brought about by these characters. Foxy and Bonnie, two returning characters, both offer depth and nostalgia to the game.
Crucial to the gameplay is the camera system, which lets players follow the animatronics' every action by letting them choose between different camera feeds. Players can't plan their moves or anticipate the whereabouts of their animatronic characters without this technology, which keeps track of their locations in real time. To stay one step ahead of the game, players need to keep an eye on the various cameras placed about the pizzeria.
In this installment, the Freddy Fazbear mask is introduced as one of the primary mechanics. Players can put on the mask to fool animatronics into thinking they are one of them when they come too close. Players need to be quick to put on the mask whenever an animatronic is nearby in order to avoid being attacked, which adds an extra degree of strategy to the game. It all comes down to timing and reflexes since you can lose the game if you don't put on the mask in time.
