You should avoid taking Modula 5 mg (which contains sildenafil) in the following situations:
Allergy to Sildenafil or Ingredients: If you are allergic to sildenafil or any of the ingredients in Modula 5 mg, you should not take the medication. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash, itching, swelling, or difficulty breathing.
Severe Liver or Kidney Disorders: If you have severe liver or kidney problems, Modula 5 mg may not be safe as it is metabolized in the liver and excreted via the kidneys. Your doctor may adjust the dose or recommend an alternative treatment.
Low Blood Pressure (Hypotension): If you have a history of low blood pressure (under 90/60 mm Hg), MODULA 5 MG can further lower your blood pressure, which could be dangerous.
Taking Nitrates or Nitroglycerin: If you are taking any nitrate-based medication (such as nitroglycerin for chest pain), you should not take Modula 5 mg. The combination of sildenafil and nitrates can lead to a dangerous drop in blood pressure.
Priapism or Penile Deformity: If you have a history of priapism (prolonged or painful erection lasting more than 4 hours) or any condition that may increase the risk of priapism, such as sickle cell anemia, leukemia, or multiple myeloma, you should avoid taking Modula 5 mg.
Vision Problems: If you have a history of non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), a condition that affects vision, you should consult your doctor before taking Modula 5 mg, as sildenafil may increase the risk of vision problems.
Severe Retinal Disorders: If you have conditions like retinitis pigmentosa, an inherited eye disease, you should avoid taking sildenafil.
Concurrent Use with Other ED Medications: Do not use Modula 5 mg if you are already taking other erectile dysfunction medications, as combining them can lead to dangerous side effects.
