4. Upside-Down Catfish
As its name suggests, this fascinating fish spends much of its time swimming upside down! Native to Africa, the upside-down catfish has evolved to feed on insects and algae from the water's surface. It’s a popular aquarium fish due to its unusual behavior and adaptability.
5. Utah Prairie Dog
A highly social rodent found in the western United States, the Utah prairie dog is an essential part of its ecosystem. These small creatures dig complex burrow systems and serve as prey for numerous predators. Unfortunately, they are considered a threatened species due to habitat loss and disease.
