In the middle of Abraham Hicks' teachings lies the Law of Attraction—the proven fact that like attracts like. According to Abraham (a number of non-physical entities channeled by Esther Hicks), the thoughts and emotions you project in to the universe behave like a magnet, drawing similar energies back to you. If you're thinking positive thoughts and feeling good, you'll attract experiences, people, and circumstances that match that high vibration. Conversely, if you're dedicated to lack, fear, or frustration, you're likely to draw more of that into your life. This principle encourages individuals to take conscious control of the thinking patterns, not by controlling every thought, but by gently redirecting focus toward things that feel a lot better and align with joy, freedom, and appreciation.

Abraham Hicks emphasizes that your emotions are not random; they're guidance from your deliberate creation, non-physical self—what they call the Inner Being. Emotions behave as indicators of whether your current thoughts are in alignment together with your desires and your true nature. Joy, love, and excitement mean you're aligned, while fear, guilt, or anger signal misalignment. The Emotional Guidance Scale is a practical tool offered by Abraham to greatly help people identify where they're emotionally and make small, manageable shifts upward. By reaching for a slightly better-feeling thought, you begin to climb the vibrational ladder, gaining clarity and opening up to raised manifestations.

Abraham outlines a clear three-step process for conscious creation: (1) Ask, (2) It's Given, and (3) Allow. The first step is natural and effortless—you're always asking during your experiences and desires. Next step is handled by the universe, or Source Energy, which immediately answers and creates a vibrational version of what you've asked for. Step three, the absolute most crucial and often misunderstood, involves aligning yourself vibrationally with what you've asked for to help you receive it. This implies feeling like your desire is fulfilled, without needing to see physical evidence right away. It's about being in the receiving mode, which happens through relaxation, trust, and enjoyment of the now.

A central concept in Abraham Hicks' teachings is "The Vortex"—a vibrational reality where everything you've ever asked for already exists. It's not just a place you go physically, but a state of alignment you enter vibrationally. When you're in the Vortex, you are feeling joy, flow, love, and inspiration. This is where true manifestation begins, because you're energetically matched with all the current things your Inner Being has already lined up for you. Abraham teaches that the key to entering the Vortex isn't action or effort but emotional alignment. Practices like meditation, appreciation, and focusing on what's going well allow you to enter and stay in this powerful state.

Abraham Hicks makes it clear that feeling good is not a luxury—it's essential for deliberate creation. Many folks are conditioned to think that work, sacrifice, or struggle must achieve success. Abraham flips this belief on its head, teaching that alignment is everything. Once you prioritize feeling good, everything you need comes more easily and naturally. This doesn't mean you avoid challenges, but alternatively that you will find ways to soothe yourself and feel relief, even in difficulty. Feeling good becomes a daily practice: appreciating small things, choosing better thoughts, and reaching for emotional relief whenever possible.
