Hi, my experience with the Southwest Airlines NRT Terminal was rather impressive. While Southwest is an affordable airline, the Narita terminal services were premium-like. Check-in was efficient, and the electronic kiosks were smooth. The staff was friendly and provided useful advice regarding connecting transport into Tokyo. I was particularly impressed with how speedy the security and immigration lines were—no waiting around. Inside, the seats had plenty of legroom, and there were many charging outlets. Options for eating nearby included international and traditional Japanese fare, a pleasant amenity for travelers who want one last taste of Tokyo. Wi-Fi was reliable and fast. Boarding started promptly, and boarding was done in an orderly manner, with passengers permitted to board. Even without seat assignments, Southwest managed group boarding with respect and speed. Flying out of NRT with them was like flying with a full-service airline. I would think twice about not flying Southwest again on future international travel if they keep up with this level of operation.
