To change your change starting point in Waze
starting point in Waze, you usually need to use the "Planned Drives" feature or simulate the route using a custom location. Here's how you can do it depending on your device and purpose:

?? On Mobile (iOS/Android)
Waze is designed to use your real-time GPS location as the default starting point, so you can’t directly change the starting point like on Google Maps. But here’s a workaround:
Option 1: Use "Planned Drives"
Open Waze.
Tap “My Waze” > Planned drives.
Tap “Add a drive”.
Set a future date/time, then:
Choose your destination.
Tap “Edit start location” (some devices show this).
If available, type a different starting point.
?? Not all versions of Waze support this, depending on updates and region.
Option 2: Simulate a Route via “Where to?”
Go to the search bar and type the destination.
Tap the destination result.
Tap the three-dot menu (•••) or “Routes”.
You may see a "Set start location" (on some Android versions or in beta).

If you want to plan a route from a different starting point on your desktop:
Go to Waze Live Map.
Click the map to set a starting point.
Click again to set the destination.
Click "Directions" to preview the route.

If changing the starting point is a must-have feature and Waze doesn't allow it on your device, Google Maps supports custom start/end points easily—just long-press anywhere to start.
