IPv4 and IPv6 are internet protocols that assign IP addresses to devices. IPv4 uses 32-bit addresses, supporting about 4.3 billion unique addresses. In contrast, IPv6 uses 128-bit addresses, allowing back office support in bpo trillions of devices to connect. IPv6 also offers improved security, efficiency, and routing.
