It's also the quilt which allows temperature techniques to make, rain to fall, and air to circulate. With no atmosphere, life as we know it wouldn't exist.

Their internal primary is as hot as the surface of sunlight, and the motion of molten rock in the mantle pushes dish tectonics—constantly reshaping continents, initiating earthquakes, and making volcanoes.
