I want to discuss how soil testing play important role in accurate estimation of construction project. Many times people think soil test not needed, but later project face big cost issue. When we do construction estimating services, soil strength and type decide foundation design, material takeoff and total cost estimation.
If soil testing is ignored, then project estimation become wrong and timeline also get delay. Proper quantity takeoff and construction takeoff depend on soil data because it tell how much concrete, steel and other material we will need.
I want to know how you all handle soil testing before giving project estimation? Do you make it compulsory in your company or client can skip it?
