Before committing to a dating site, how do you personally decide if it’s worth your time?

I usually try the app for a few days and see how active it feels. If messages go unanswered or profiles look fake, I move on quickly. With the Hily dating app, I noticed that users were more responsive and conversations didn’t feel forced, which made me stay longer and explore it further.
