Air Canada Missed Flight Policy states that if a passenger misses a scheduled flight, the outcome depends on the fare type and whether Air Canada was notified before departure. If you miss the flight without prior notice, it is typically treated as a no-show, which can result in cancellation of the remaining itinerary and loss of ticket value—especially for Basic fares. However, travelers with flexible or higher fare classes may be eligible for same-day standby or rebooking by paying any applicable fare difference. If the missed flight or connection is caused by an Air Canada delay or cancellation, the airline generally rebooks passengers on the next available flight at no additional charge.
