Penegra 100 mg is a prescription medication containing sildenafil citrate, used primarily to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in adult men. It is prescribed when a man has difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection sufficient for sexual activity. The drug works by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation. Common situations where Penegra 100 mg may be prescribed: Erectile dysfunction (ED) – caused by physical factors like diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, or vascular issues. Psychological causes of ED – such as stress, anxiety, or depression, where the doctor believes sildenafil could help. When a higher dose is needed – Penegra 100 Mg comes in multiple strengths (25 mg, 50 mg, 100 mg), and 100 mg is usually prescribed if lower doses were ineffective. Usage Guidelines: Taken orally, about 30–60 minutes before sexual activity. Effects typically last 4–5 hours. Only used when sexual arousal occurs; it does not increase libido on its own. Important Notes: Not recommended for women or children. Should be used under medical supervision, especially if the patient takes nitrates for heart conditions or has cardiovascular issues. Possible side effects include headache, flushing, dizziness, upset stomach, and rarely, changes in vision or prolonged erections (priapism).
