Megalis 10 mg contains Tadalafil, a medicine used to improve blood flow to the penis and help men with erectile dysfunction achieve and maintain an erection. The “best dose” is not a single fixed amount for everyone, because effectiveness depends on age, health status, severity of ED, and how often the medicine is used.
For most men, MEGALIS 10 MG is considered the standard starting dose taken before sexual activity. It often provides good results within 30–60 minutes and can remain effective for up to 24–36 hours. If the response is insufficient and side effects are mild, a doctor may adjust the dose to 20 mg for stronger effect.
However, higher doses are not always better. Increasing the dose may improve erection strength slightly but also raises the risk of side effects such as headache, flushing, dizziness, indigestion, back pain, and low blood pressure. In men with kidney or liver issues, a lower dose may actually be safer and more effective.
Some patients are instead prescribed a daily low-dose regimen (2.5–5 mg tadalafil) rather than higher “on-demand” dosing, especially if they prefer spontaneous sexual activity.
The most effective dose is therefore the lowest dose that reliably produces satisfactory erections with minimal side effects, determined by a healthcare provider. Self-adjusting the dose is not recommended, particularly if there are heart conditions or if medications like Nitroglycerin are being used.
