We are planning a family visit to Moscow to see our relatives and stay for a few days. There will be several of us, including children, so we are thinking about whether renting a car could make the trip easier for moving around the city and visiting different places comfortably.

This is actually something we considered when we traveled to Russia last year to visit family as well. Having a car can be convenient if you plan to go outside the center or carry luggage, especially with kids. It might also depend on how much you plan to stay within the city itself. In some cases public transport is enough, but for family trips with multiple stops it is often easier to have your own vehicle for flexibility and time saving.
