People with severe liver or kidney disease should also avoid it unless specifically supervised by a specialist, because the drug can accumulate in the body and intensify side effects. It is not recommended for those with very low blood pressure, uncontrolled hypertension, or certain eye conditions like non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION). Alcohol-heavy environments or situations involving heavy drinking should also be avoided, as alcohol can worsen blood pressure drops and dizziness.
