Filitra (vardenafil) should never be mixed with certain medicines, as it can cause dangerous drops in blood pressure or serious heart-related effects. Medicines that should NOT be taken with Filitra: 1. Nitrates (strictly contraindicated) Nitroglycerin Isosorbide dinitrate / mononitrate “Poppers” (amyl nitrite)  Can cause a sudden, life-threatening fall in blood pressure. 2. Riociguat (for pulmonary hypertension) Can lead to severe hypotension when combined with Filitra . 3. Alpha-blockers (blood pressure & prostate meds) Tamsulosin Doxazosin Prazosin   May cause dizziness, fainting, or very low blood pressure, especially when starting or adjusting doses. 4. Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (increase Filitra levels) Ketoconazole, itraconazole (antifungals) Ritonavir, atazanavir  Can increase side effects like headache, flushing, or low blood pressure. 5. Other ED medicines (PDE5 inhibitors) Sildenafil (e.g., Cenforce) Tadalafil  Combining increases risk of overdose effects and complications. 6. Excess alcohol or recreational drugs Can worsen dizziness, low BP, and reduce effectiveness. If you’re using Filitra, always inform your doctor about all prescription, OTC, and herbal medicines to avoid harmful interactions.
