I wanted to share my experience with the CQATest app because I know many of you have probably seen it pop up on your Android device without any explanation. When it first appeared on my Motorola smartphone, I honestly thought something was wrong. My phone started behaving oddly — settings were changing, the notification drawer was not opening properly, and some apps were becoming unresponsive.
After doing some research, I discovered that the CQATest app is actually a legitimate pre-installed diagnostic tool that comes with most Motorola Android devices. It is designed for testing device components like the camera, display, audio, sensors, and signal strength. It is not spyware, and it does not compromise your personal data in any way.
The app can be accessed by dialing *#*#4636#*#* directly from your phone's dialer. Once opened, it presents a menu with options like Sequence Mode, CQA Menu Mode, MMI Test, and Model Assembly Mode.
If the CQATest app is causing problems on your device, here are the steps that worked for me. First, clear the app's cache and data through Settings. Second, review and adjust the app permissions. Third, try force stopping the app temporarily. Fourth, remove and reinsert your SIM card. Finally, if nothing works, consider performing a factory reset after backing up your data.
Has anyone else dealt with the CQATest app causing issues? Drop your experiences and solutions below — let's help each other out!
