The largest problem in cybersecurity today is not only identifying a threat, but also identifying it before it's too late.
In a cyberattack, AI is no longer merely a tool for automating discrete, isolated tasks. Rather, hackers are exploiting it to create self-adjusting, PSA software and RMM tools continuous systems that are capable of real-time coordination and adaptation. Security teams and Managed Service Providers (MSPs) are being forced to make crucial decisions in a fraction of the time they previously had due to this, which is not only increasing the number of assaults but also drastically speeding them up.
Attackers continue to use social engineering and phishing as their main methods of network intrusion. These techniques were responsible for 28% of the breaches examined during incident response investigations, according to the Microsoft Digital Defense Report 2025. These strategies are now being accelerated by generative AI, which makes them quick, automated, and highly customized. The main line is straightforward: defenders have less time to respond as attackers move more quickly. The most limited resource we have in contemporary cyber defense is time.
