I've always wondered how experienced bettors decide on their stake size.

Some people seem to bet the exact same amount on every pick, arguing that consistency is the best way to manage a bankroll. Others increase their stake whenever they feel they've found a "high-confidence" bet with real value.

Personally, I'm still not convinced either approach is always right.

On one hand, flat betting keeps emotions out of the equation and makes it easier to stick to a long-term strategy. On the other hand, if you've genuinely identified a stronger edge than usual, does it make sense to risk the same amount as you would on an average bet?

I've been reading more about bankroll management lately, and this resource explains several staking methods, along with when hedging might actually be worth considering. It gave me a few things to think about, especially regarding long-term consistency instead of chasing short-term wins.

So I'm curious how people here handle it.

Do you flat bet every wager?
Do you increase your stake for higher-confidence picks?
Have you ever switched strategies after tracking your results?

I'd be interested to hear what has actually worked over the long run rather than what sounds good in theory.
