We've been having random dropped connections, slow speeds, and general network instability in our office. IT guy checked the router and switches, said everything looked fine on that end, so we started suspecting the actual cabling behind the walls.

Did some digging and learned that a lot of older offices have outdated or poorly installed cabling (like old Cat5 instead of Cat6/Cat6A), messy termination, or no proper patch panel setup — all of which cause exactly the issues we were seeing.

Went with a Commercial Cabling Installation company (Arctan Engineering, based in Houston) to redo our network cabling — structured Cat6A wiring, proper patch panels, labeling, and full testing/certification of every cable run. Fixed our speed and reliability issues completely, and now it's way easier to manage since everything's organized and labeled.

If your network problems don't get fixed by messing with routers/switches, it might genuinely be the cabling itself. Worth getting a proper site survey done before ripping out hardware that isn't the actual problem.
