Real-time data analytics is especially beneficial when there's a risk that lag time will have an impact on business decisions. These may range from keeping track of online transactions, inventory, web traffic, logistics or odd behaviour by customers. If monthly or weekly reporting is sufficient, it might be sufficient and less costly to use a traditional setup. The issue is whether or not immediate information will actually enhance a meaningful process. If I'm looking to invest in new tech, I would go over the choices I need faster data on, and choose a suitable technology to fit the job. Datalance may be a good place to begin analyzing those requirements.
