Tazzle 10 FM contains tadalafil 10 mg, a medicine used mainly for erectile dysfunction (ED).
Tadalafil is not generally considered directly harmful to healthy kidneys. However, the kidneys help remove tadalafil from the body, so people with reduced kidney function may have higher levels of the medicine and may need a lower dose or less frequent use.
For people with moderate kidney impairment (creatinine clearance 30–50 mL/min), prescribing information recommends limiting the dose when tadalafil is used as needed. With severe kidney impairment (below 30 mL/min) or dialysis, tadalafil use requires much greater caution; daily tadalafil for ED is generally not recommended.
Therefore, if you have chronic kidney disease, abnormal creatinine/eGFR, are receiving dialysis, or have had a kidney transplant, don't take TAZZLE 10 FM without discussing the dose with your doctor.
Also tell your doctor about other medicines, particularly nitrates, blood-pressure medicines and alpha-blockers, because tadalafil can lower blood pressure and cause dizziness or fainting.
In short, Tazzle 10 FM usually does not damage normal kidneys, but existing kidney impairment can change how safely tadalafil should be dosed.
