The heart of every Dodge Challenger Hellcat is the supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8. Dodge then put a 2.4-liter twin-screw supercharger on top of that, pumping air into the engine and turning a big pushrod V8 into a real tire-shredder. The base SRT Hellcat produced 717 horsepower and 656 lb-ft of torque. That number alone would have been headline news a generation ago. Dodge treated it as the entry point.
