In my opinion, academic language review should involve more than correcting grammar and spelling. A manuscript can be technically correct but still difficult to read because of unclear sentence construction or inconsistent terminology.
English editing services may help authors improve readability and clarity, but the editor should avoid changing the intended meaning of the research.
My recommendation would be to review edited changes carefully and make sure the final manuscript still accurately represents the author's research. How much editorial intervention do you think is appropriate?
