A Vilitra placebo comparison refers to comparing vardenafil—the active ingredient commonly found in Vilitra—with a placebo (inactive tablet) in clinical trials. In randomized, double-blind studies, vardenafil generally produced greater improvements in erectile function than placebo. For example, one 12-week Vilitra of vardenafil 10 mg found successful penetration in 83.4% vs. 55.8% with placebo and successful maintenance of erections in 76.6% vs. 42.1%. Another placebo-controlled trial involving 5, 10, and 20 mg vardenafil found improvements in erectile-function measures across all three doses compared with placebo. Important: These studies evaluate vardenafil, not necessarily a specific branded product such as Vilitra. Product formulation and quality should therefore be verified separately.
