Passengers passing through Istanbul Airport can use designated smoking facilities rather than smoking in public terminal spaces. The Istanbul Airport Smoking Areas are intended to provide specific places for smoking while supporting a cleaner and more comfortable environment for other travelers. Passengers should check directional signs throughout the terminal to find the nearest available facility. Airport information desks can also provide guidance when the location is unclear. Travelers connecting between flights should consider their boarding time and the distance to their departure gate before visiting a smoking area. Access may depend on terminal arrangements and security restrictions, so passengers should not assume every facility is available from every section. Observing posted rules is essential, as smoking outside authorized locations may result in penalties. Checking the latest airport information before departure can help travelers plan their time and avoid unnecessary delays.
