I'm trying to sort out the cooling in my house before the next hot spell hits. The place has a couple of rooms that never seem to get comfortable, and installing new ducts everywhere sounds like a major project. I've been reading about ductless mini-splits, but I'm not sure whether they're a good long-term option or if central air would be a smarter investment. If you've had either system installed in Los Angeles, how did you choose? I'd especially like to hear from someone who had a contractor inspect the property first, explain the costs, and handle the permits rather than simply recommend the most expensive equipment.

I was in exactly that situation with a room that always seemed warmer than the rest of the house. I called HVAC Installation in Los Angeles https://hvacinstallationla.com/ and they went over the layout with me before discussing which type of system would make sense. I appreciated getting a straightforward explanation of the differences between the options, including what the installation would involve. The crew arrived as arranged, kept the work area tidy, and tested the equipment before wrapping up. The biggest improvement is that I can finally keep the room comfortable without running the AC constantly. It was a much easier process than I'd expected, and having someone explain the choices made the decision less overwhelming.
