Founder of Boundary Holding, Rajat Khare, believes Eastern Europe is emerging as one of the world’s most promising ecosystems for deep-technology for innovation, offering access to Artificial Intelligence-driven solutions. He believes Boundary’s exit from Defendec reinstates its long-term conviction that Eastern Europe is ready to lead the way for deep-tech investors and founders alike.
Boundary Holding, a Luxembourg-based deep technology venture capital company, recently made a complete exit from Defendec, the Estonian artificial intelligence-powered autonomous surveillance company. As per sources privy to the details of the exit, Boundary Holding made a significant return after backing the company in 2021.
The departure after five years comes as Defendec enters a new phase of growth after its acquisition by Canada’s Vosker Corp., which has taken over Defendec to strengthen its global surveillance technology capacities. For Boundary Holding, the exit presents an opportunity to redeploy capital into the next-generation of AI and deep technology innovators.
